Zbigniew Solecki

Zbigniew Solecki, 68, of Addison, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his immediate family on Friday, August 25, 2017. Born in Dzierzoniow, Poland, on August 20, 1949, he was a proud leader of the Solidarnosc movement in Lower Silesia. He immigrated to the United States as a political refugee in 1982. He was preceded in death by his Father, Zygmunt Solecki, and infant son, Adam Solecki. Former husband and cherished friend of Krystyna Solecka née Garbowska. Loving father to Maggie (Slawomir) Cichocki. He is also survived by his family in Poland; Mother, Wladyslawa Solecka née Chaber and Sister, Urszula (Mieczyslaw) Lebiedziejewska.

Funeral Mass in Polish will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, 11:00 am at St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, 5345 W. Roscoe St., Chicago, IL 60641. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016.
