moved to Chicago with his parents and brother at age 12. He later met the love of his life Teresa when
visiting his family in Poland. They married in 1970, had three children and have cherished their life
together for 53 years.
Walter, was a devoted husband, loving father and most importantly a dziadzio. He enjoyed music,
traveling, dancing and having a good time with family and friends. He met no stranger, full of life taking
risks and having fun. Walter, best known as Wally was an entrepreneur in Chicago. Wally and Teresa
raised their family in Des Plaines, IL. After their youngest graduated high school, in 1997 they moved to
Missouri. He was a determined man chasing his dreams leading their family to the hotel business
(Ramada Inn) in St. Robert, MO. Working and spending time with his family. He made people laugh,
spoke 3 languages, loved holidays and fireworks. He retired in 2008. Family road trips to the beaches of
St Pete were a favorite annual tradition. Poland was a place he held dear and would travel to his family
roots, showing and sharing his heritage with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed every minute as
his health permitted, even strokes wouldn’t keep him down, just slowed him down. With Teresa by his
side, his children and grandchildren present were called to God. He is dancing again, sharing laughs with
his family in heaven.
