Sofia Ramirez

Sofia Ramirez gained her wings on September 15th, 2021, at the age of 51. She was born in Chicago on December 19th, 1969, to her parents, Luis and Carmen Rios. After graduating from Senn High school, she became a patient liaison at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and continued there for more than 25 years.

Sofia was a kind, loving and spirited woman. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings such as New Year's Eve and barbeques. Her passions included gardening, dancing, and cooking creative dishes. Sofia had a heart of gold and accepted everyone who walked into her home with open arms. Most importantly, she was an amazing mother and grandmother.

Sofia is survived by her mother, Carmen Rios; Children Nicole, Luis Antonio, and Jessica Ramirez; Grandson Aiden Xavier Ramirez; Siblings Luis, Wilson, Wilfredo, Luz, Angel, Maggie, Hector, and Carmen Rios; ten nieces and nine nephews. She also leaves behind extended family members and a village of friends.

Those who were blessed to know her valued her existence and will forever have an imprint on their hearts. She shall be laid to rest near her twin Roberto Rios and will be reunited with her father, Luis Rios, nephew, Angel Rios and great-niece, Anisa Scott.
