Roberto Rodriguez

Roberto “Robert” Rodriguez, 43, of Chicago, IL passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2022.

Rob was born on May 6, 1979 to Ralph Rodriguez and Maria Ortiz in Chicago. He moved to Glendale Heights, IL to live with his brother, sister in law and niece where he attended middle school and high school. He went on to play football and basketball and was elected class president of his high school and nominated Heart shop King by his peers. Rob graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1998, where he then went on to study Public Relations and Business Administration at Illinois State University.

Rob was loved by everyone who knew him. He was the life of the party, always laughing, joking singing, dancing and making people smile. He loved his family with all of his heart, adored his nieces and nephews and cherished his life long friendships. Rob enjoyed and excelled in playing competitive pool, winning several tournaments and recently becoming a “7”, the highest ranking you can achieve in the American Pool-players Association (APA), spending time with friends and rocking the mic for a crowd. He had a smile that could light up the room, a laughter to remember for a lifetime and a heart of gold.

Rob was predeceased by his father Ralph, mother Maria, brother Jippy and sister Denise. He is survived by his brothers, Ralph Jr., Miguel, Ricardo, Angel, and sisters Darlene, Joanna, and Maria.

Services will be held at PIETRYKA FUNERAL HOME 5734 W. Diversey Ave. in Chicago, IL 60639 on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Please join us in celebrating a beautiful life, a lifetime of memories and room filled with love.
