Ricky Mickiewicz

Ricky Mickiewicz age 62, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2020 due to a cardiovascular event. Ricky was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Hawaii where he lived for 14 years prior to returning to Chicago in 1994. He has been employed by the Cook County Circuit Court archives department for 20 years.

Ricky was kind, thoughtful and free spirited. He loved his family, friends, drawing, painting, music and the Chicago Cubs. Ricky loved all things Disney and, Hawaii was where his heart was, he planned to retire and return to Hawaii.

Ricky is survived by his brother and wife, Cary and Dorothy Mickiewicz, sister and her husband Karyn Mickiewicz and Rob Krawczyk and his sister Vickie Mickiewicz-Sage, as well as his nieces and nephews, Brendan, Kirstie, Dennis, Kylie, Jackie and Adam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gloria Mickiewicz and, his brothers Craig Mickiewicz and Gordon Mickiewicz.

His visitation and memorial service will be Monday July 20, 2020 from 4-8 pm at Pietryka Funeral home, 5734 W Diversey Ave.,Chicago Illinois 60639
