Piotr Wielgat

Piotr Wielgat passed away on March 14, 2018 after courageously fighting the lung cancer for several months. The wake service will be held on Saturday, March 17th, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pietryka Funeral Home located at 5734-40 West Diversey Ave., Chicago. Piotr will be buried in his home town, in Poland. Piotr was born in Poland on September 5, 1966 and was married to Bogusia Wielgat (Choszczyk) for almost 30 years. He enjoyed reading, writing poems, painting, fishing, and cooking. Piotr is survived by his wife Bogusia; four children, Tomek, Paulina, Estera, and Daniel; three grandchildren, Sebastian, Gabrysia and Klaudia; his father Wieslaw; two brothers and three sisters; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Piotr is preceded in death by his mother, Irena Wielgat. Piotr was always energetic and full of life; he never gave up fighting his cancer.
