Norrine L. Mycke (76) of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was surrounded by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Mycke-Ford and son-in-law, Shane Ford. Norrine was born February 13, 1944 to Slyvester and Vivian Pufunt. She preceded in death her parents and husband. Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 03, 2020 at St. Cyril & Methodius Polish National Cathedral. Norrine Mycke (Pufunt) lived a brimful life along with her late husband, Raymond W. Mycke. Together they embarked on many adventures including being a part of Parigas-- Park Ridge Gilbert and Sullivan Society for over 25 years. Norrine also sang for many years with the United Choirs. She was beloved by many including her grandchildren: Leanne and Alexander Ford, her students, and of course her two rescue West Highland Terriers, Rio and Gordy. Norrine had begun her teaching career within the Chicago area as a music teacher before substitute teaching for over 40 years in both Norridge and Park Ridge. She touched the lives of many children over the years, many of whom remembered her even in their adulthood. In lieu of flowers: the residence is asking for donations to either Youth Music Illinois, a youth Orchestra & symphony for aspiring youth musicians whom both of her grandchildren were a part of or to TAPS, a non-kill animal shelter in Peoria, Illinois******************************
