Mary Beth Belda

Mary Beth Belda (nee Cleaveland) , age 70, came to be at rest on May 2nd, 2019, of Chicago Il. Born in Valparaiso, IN on July 8th, 1948. Preceded in death by her husband Ronald Belda; son Steven Belda and sister Phyllis Braun (nee Cleaveland). She is survived by her loving son Griffin; older siblings Don Cleaveland and Ruth Mueller (nee Cleaveland) and is a fond aunt to many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth was a retired CPS Special Ed Teacher, avid collector and “Queen of Bling”. She was a motherly counselor, caregiver, fanciful dreamer, impartial and non judgmental confidant or harsh realist to any who sought or needed her help. She assisted countless people through their darkest times. A Celebration of Mary Beth’s life will be held on May 11th from 3pm-8pm at Pietryka Funeral Home, 5734-40 W. Diversey Ave, Chicago IL 60639. In lieu of flowers, it was Mary Beth’s wishes that donations be made to assist her son. A memorial fund has been set up at gofundme.com under Mary Beth Belda Memorial Fund
