Manfred Woppel was born to the late Johann and Maria Woppel in Woppendorf, Austria. In January 1956, the Woppel family immigrated to the United States. Hard work and the significance of family was instilled at a very young age in Manfred and his brothers Johann and Erich by their loving father and mother. Manfred was fortunately blessed with a large, blended family and married to his best friend Priscilla (Messana), on November 6, 2006, in Chicago, IL. He will always be remembered as was a generous, hardworking, and devoted family man. There was nothing more important to him than his family and he raised all his children with unconditional love and patience. Manfred was incredibly selfless; always putting others first and always had time to solve a problem no matter the size. He loved tinkering with his cars, cooking, bargain hunting, and spending quality time with his family. Manfred touched so many lives with his generosity and he will forever be remembered as a great father, grandpa, great grandpa, friend, brother, and husband. Not a day will go by when he is not overwhelmingly loved and missed. He is survived by his wife Priscilla; his daughters Priscilla, Andrea, Vanessa, Laura, Tara, Nicole, Kristin; and his son Matthew; his brothers Johann and Erich; his 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Victoria, granddaughter Olivia and his parents Johann and Maria.
