Jozef Zygmunt Zareba

Jozef Zygmunt Zareba, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the young age of 83. Born on August 1, 1941, in Poland, Jozef embarked on a journey that would lead him to touch the lives of many. He was known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for his family.

Jozef is survived by his cherished wife, Jadwiga, who stood by his side as a steadfast partner and confidant through all the joys and tribulations of life. Together, they celebrated the magic of family, welcoming a son, Mariusz, whose laughter filled their home with hope and dreams. Mariusz shared a special bond with his father, and the love between them will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them.

The Zareba family blossomed further with the addition of his daughters, Viktoria and Sophia, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to Jozef's life. It was easy to see the sparkle in his eyes as he reveled in the innocent antics and adventures of his children, always finding time to indulge in their youthful exuberance.

Barbara, his beloved daughter, continued to nurture the family legacy with her husband, Joseph, and their sons, Michael and Matthew. The bond they shared with their father was a poignant testament to the love he instilled in each of his children.

Jozef was not only a devoted father and husband but also a loving brother to Zygmunt, whose close-knit family gathered around him during both joyous and challenging times. He was a guiding light and a source of comfort to Zygmunt and his family, creating memories that will be held dear forever.

As a godfather to Kasik, Jozef embraced the role with open arms, cherishing every moment spent with his godson, in the hopes of passing on wisdom, laughter, and love. His bonds with Krystyna and her family were equally significant, as they all shared moments of joy, support, and camaraderie throughout the years.

Jozef's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, family ties, and friendships that enriched those around him. A Visitation will be held on April 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pietryka Funeral Home in Chicago, followed by a Mass on April 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Ferdinand.

His spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know him, and the legacy of love he leaves behind will forever be cherished. Jozef Zareba will be deeply missed, but his memory will no doubt continue to inspire endless smiles and stories among family and friends.
