John Chomiczewski

Jan (John) Chomiczewski, age 98, of Lombard, IL passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born on May 21,1923 in Slawatycze, Poland. The son of Jan & Anastazja Chomiczewski. John married Eugenia Majewska on July 7, 1957. John came to the USA in 1949 under the UN WWII displaced person relief program and sponsorship from the Polish National Alliance. John worked as a computer operator at Bell & Howell and retired after working there 20 years. John loved ballroom dancing, playing volleyball, tennis and ping pong as well as spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are five sons, Zbigniew of Lombard, IL; Michael of Lombard, IL ; Mark and Chanthima Chomiczewski of Allendale, MI; Joseph of Thompson Station, TN; Andrew and Shannon Chomiczewski of Lutz, FL; John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jozef, Kazimierz, Tadeusz. Mass will be held at 11:00am on JAN 18 at Divine Mercy Polish Parish, 21W411 Sunset Ave, Lombard, IL 60148.
