Jeanette was born August 13, 1922 to Polish immigrants Michael and Antoinette. Her given name was Genowefa (Genevieve).
At age ten, she lost her mother suddenly as well as her stillborn sister to be named Theresa. She and her four siblings Walter (wife Antoinette), Frank (wife Estelle),
Mitchell (wife Irene) and Sister Mary (husband Tom) all led respectable lives and raised children.
Jeanette also had a sister-in-law Adeline (husband Joe) and a (brother-in-law Daniel.)
Jeanette married the love of her life, William in 1950. Their first son, William Jr was born in 1954. Sadly, he succumbed to illness and died at age 4 in 1959.
The next year Jeanette gave birth to her daughter Jeanne. Jeanne worked for the Illinois State Police in telecommunications; Jeanne has a daughter Julie who is a Chicago Police Officer and Air Force veteran.
Jeanette was the proud babcia of Rhea (Frannie) and James.
Jeanette’s youngest son was Timothy who also was a Chicago Police Officer who was married for 39 years to a loving woman name Rosalind whom he fell for at first sight. Tim and Roz had their first daughter Stephanie who became a nurse like Roz. She has a daughter named Seraphina.
Their second child is Laura who is also a nurse.
She gave her LTG (Little Tiny Granny) a 9 month old grandson Timothy.
Jeanette lost her husband New Years Day of 1980. Jeanne was 19 and Timothy 16 but Jeanette was able to complete raising her teens into adulthood.
Jeanette lost Timothy at age 54 in 2018 due to an extended illness.
Jeanette is also survived by her Dachsund Lyla. Jeanette always looked for the positive in life. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and proud to be Catholic. She was devoted to her family. She was deeply loved by many nieces and nephews and their families. She was kind and gentle soul. She was respected by the friends of her children. She spent many hours at Dunkin Donuts at Milwaukee and Harlem sipping her coffee.
