Irena Pruski

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Irena Pruski, who departed this life at the age of 86 in River Grove on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Surrounded by the warmth of her loving daughter, Irena embraced eternal rest in the comfort of her home.

Irena now joins her beloved husband, Jozef Nowak, along with her cherished sons, Stanislaw and Tadeusz Nowak, who predeceased her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, carried forth by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Zenon Milewski. Her family continues to cherish her memory through her grandchildren—Ania Nowak, Joe Nowak, Mark Nowak, and Kasia Abrahamsen (Gregory)—as well as Chris Milewski (Whitney), Paulina Nowak, Angelica Keating (Ryan), and Michael Milewski, and her great-grandchildren—Violet Milewski, Hope, Madelynn, and Mila Abrahamsen.

Irena was a woman of many passions; beyond her steadfast devotion to family and prayer, she found joy in song, the beauty of gardening, and the intrigue of history. An avid reader, a poet at heart, and a storyteller, she would often delight in sharing her life's experiences and wisdom. Her unwavering support and celebration of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enriched all their lives.

Her vibrant spirit and loving presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Our family takes solace in the belief that Irena now rests in peace with The Lord.
