Genoveva Horodyski

Genoveva Horodyski, nee Arasenchuk, 91, of Chicago’s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood formerly of Corrientes, Argentina went home to heaven on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
The eldest of 11 children born to the late Anastacio and Eudosia Arasenchuk on September 25, 1931, Genoveva brought her growing family to Chicago, IL in 1968. Loving mother of the late Diana, Mirtha (the late Pablo), Delicia (the late Isidro) (Joe), Cecilia and Nanci (Ryan). Amazing grandmother of Erika (the late Salvador), Diana (Nirish), Natasha (Drew), Krystyna (James), Douglas (Allison), Eric (Roselyn) and Jamie (Ashley). Beloved great grandmother of Natalia (AJ), Noah and Evelyn. Cherished great-great grandmother of Genevieve. Special grandmama of her sweet furbaby, Molly.
Genoveva will be remembered for her devotion to God, dedication to family and her talent in the kitchen. Some of her family’s favorites, amongst the many, included steak and eggs, empanadas,milanese, pierogis & alfajores. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.


Services will be held at Pietryka Funeral Home, 5734 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
