Florentino Ramirez

September 1, 1950 — April 22, 2024

Florentino Ramirez was a loving husband to Angelita Ramirez for 56 years, a devoted father to his children, and an outstanding grandfather to his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time and spoiling his grandkids; he’d never say no to any of them. He was a supportive and fun uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tino was a neighborhood gem with his outgoing and humorous demeanor. His community loved him dearly as he was caring and compassionate. His kindness, generosity, and love will never be forgotten.

When Florentino was 13, he immigrated to Chicago from San Nicolas De Las Garzas in Monterrey, Nuevo León. When he arrived in Chicago, he didn’t speak English and was nicknamed ‘Mexico’ which he tattooed on his left hand. His favorite sport was soccer and team were Los Tigres. Tino played professional little league when he was a boy. Most of his family will remember his scent of juicy fruit gum and Aramis cologne. He loved to get dressed after a long day of work, get a scratch ticket, hear oldies, and drink an ice-cold Miller Light. Tino opened our hearts to so many great memories and without a doubt will live forever in our hearts.
