Son of Gilberto Figueroa, the late Virginia Crespo; Beloved husband of Gloria L. Burgos-Figueroa, loving father of Edward Gil Figueroa (Gabriella), Joseph Matthew Figueroa(Sarah), and George Figueroa; loving step-father of Joseph Navarro (Dixie), Vanessa Alicea (Andrew) and Christina Alicea ; cherished Abuelo of Joseph, Alexander, Eric, Angelo, Austin, Alyens, Alanna, Savanah, Demetris, Mariah, Andrew, Liliana, Malyah, Andy ; brother of Nereida (Hector), Gladis, Meriam, Magdaline (Jose), Martin, Gilberto and caring brother-in-law of Lorraine (Reymundo), Francisco, Virginia (Hector), Joseph (Windy), Marybeth, Linda, and Marlene (Rodney); beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces and esteemed cousin.
Eddie will be greatly missed by countless friends and family members. Edward passed due to a massive heart attack on Saturday. February 11, 2017, he was only 58. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to time of prayers 10:00 am at the Pietryka Funeral Home 5734-40 West Diversey Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60639. A church service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. John Bosco, 2250 N. McVicker, Chicago, Illinois 60639, followed by his final resting ceremony at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside, Illinois 60162.
