Carmelo Santucci, aged 86, died in his home in Chicago on January 10, 2022.
Born in Pizzone, Italy in 1935, he emigrated to Chicago in 1958, where he proudly became a US citizen.
Carmelo was the retired owner of a successful manufacturing company and an avid book and stamp collector.
He loved music, visiting downtown Chicago, traveling, and dancing with his dearest friend and life
companion Patricia DeBiase.
Carmelo was preceded in death by his dear wife Barbara (Thomka) and his eldest son Philip. He was the
beloved father of Tony and Debbie (Mike Thompson). He was a proud and loving grandfather to
Philip Michael (Sara) Santucci, Stephanie Marie Santucci, and Michael Edward Thompson, and great-grandfather to John Matthew.
Carmelo touched many lives and was cherished by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace
dearest Carmelo, knowing you will remain in our hearts forever.
Entombment at All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum in Des Plaines on Tuesday, January 18,2022. Prayer service in the
cemetery chapel in the mausoleum at 11:00AM.
