A resident of Lombard, IL formerly of Elmuhurst and Addison, IL and Pontiac, MI Passed away peacefully on December 4th at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved daughter of the late Alvin and Ophelia Atwell. Loving mother to Justin Gilbert of Playa del Rey, CA , Ary Gilbert of Chicago, IL. and loyal canine companion, Gabby.
Betty worked as a flight attended for American Airlines from where she retired after 40 years. She created a local business, Fly2Buy, where she enjoyed sharing her passion with new friends.
Betty Touched the lives of everyone she met, however briefly. She loved and was loved by countless friends and family by whom she will be forever missed.
A private memorial will be forthcoming.
