Barbara Johnson

Barbara Elizabeth Johnson departed on August 26, 2021, at the age of 85. Barbara was born on August 3, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to Robert and Theresa Ball. As an adult, she was a long time resident of Elmhurst and Villa Park, IL. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brother John, brother Ernie, and sister Virginia.
Barbara was a devoted sports fan. She enjoyed watching professional and college sports. She supported all teams from Chicago, the University of Oklahoma (OU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU). Barbara also enjoyed participating in sports such as golf, bowling, snow skiing and water skiing.
Barbara was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Barbara is survived by her 3 children, including 2 sons, a daughter and their spouses, Daniel (Susan), Julie (John), and Thomas (Pam). She is also survived by her grandchildren Rebecca (Aaron), Justin, and great granddaughter, Reagan.
Viewing will be held on Thursday September 2, 2021 at Pietryka Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday September 3, 2021 at Irving Park Cemetery.
