Barbara Dabrowska

Barbara (Sarnacka) Dabrowska, born October 5, 1937, passed away on October 26, 2022, in Chicago, IL. Born in Drozdowo Poland, she left to find a better life in the USA in 1990. Barbara provided for her 5 children (Teresa Koszykowska, Mietek Koszykowski, Leonard Koszykowski, Adam Gimier and Ewa Dabrowska Castellaneta) through hard work most of her life; tragically her eldest child Teresa Koszykowska died of an illness over several years. She struggled through Communism in Poland where there was only vinegar on the shelves, so she decided to make Chicago her new home. She spent many years on Milwaukee Avenue which at the time was a Polish neighborhood with her daughter Ewa who arrived from Poland at age 19, starting a new life. Barbara enjoyed cooking and always had a clean home inviting to all. She is survived by 8-grandchildren...Mietek's two son's Jacel, Wojtek (RIP) and his daughter Basia. Leonard (Bozena) having one son Zbigniew, Adam (Alicja) having one daughter Klaudia & son Lukasz. Ewa (Scot) having their two daughters, Maya & Sofia. From the Grand Children she has 8-great-grandchildren...Jacek (Edyta) having two sons Jakub & Christian and one daughter Kinga. Wojtek (RIP)(Magdalena) having one daughter Natalia. Basia (Artur) having two sons' Oliwier & Ksawery. Zbigniew (Milena) having two sons' Mikolaj & Maciej.
