Angel Manuel Padilla 1953-2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angel Manuel Padilla, who peacefully left this world on February 15, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Aguirre, Puerto Rico, to Antonia Rodriguez. Angel was a beloved father, brother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generosity touched the lives of many.

In his younger years, when he met Judith Padilla, Angel was a talented musician, singing, in Latin band and playing the trombone. His love for music remained a constant throughout his life-he always knew the words to every salsa song and never missed a chance to sing or dance. His infectious smile, quick wit, and great sense of humor made him the heart of any gathering. 

Angel was a man of many passions. He loved his cafe con leche, was a crafty and resourceful person, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. he was deeply dedicated to his family-a caring son, a devoted brother, and most of all, a loving father to his "daddy's little girl", Melissa Padilla.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Melissa Padilla, and her mother Judith Padilla. He also leaves behind his loving siblings: Jose A. Vazquez, Roberto Vazquez, Ana Branson, Silvia Delfi, and the late Dolores Vazquez.

Angel's generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. His spirit will continue to live on the memories and hearts of those he touched. 

A service to honor Angel's life will be held at Pietryka Funeral Home, 5734 W. Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL, 60639 on March 7, 2025, 4pm-8pm where family and friends will gather to celebrate his incredible life. Saturday, March 8th, 2025, Angel will be laid to rest at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL, 12pm.

Though he is no longer with us, his music, laughter, and love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
