Andrzej Wojtas

Andrzej M. Wojtas (72) of Franklin Park, Illinois, passed away on June 7th, 2023, surrounded by family. He had fought a long battle with various health problems (diabetes, struggles with alcohol, multiple strokes, and cancer complications) over the last two years and was finally granted rest. Andrzej is survived by his beloved wife of over 48 years, Zofia Wojtas; daughter, Anna Kuzak; son, Maciej Wojtas; and five grandchildren. Andrzej, fondly known as Andy, was born to Aniela and Józef Wojtas on October 9th, 1950, in Limanowa, Poland. He was happiest in the great outdoors and enjoyed taking fishing trips with his friends. Andy’s favorite hobbies included making fly fishing lures, taking care of his many pets, and watching his favorite Western and action movies. While stubborn in his personal convictions, Andy will be most remembered for his natural ability to connect and make conversation with absolutely anyone. He enjoyed making others around him laugh with his silly jokes and clever sense of humor.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11th, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Pietryka Funeral

10:00 AM at the St. Gertrude Church, 9613 Schiller Blvd, Franklin Park, IL.
