Andrew Gazdzik of Chicago passed away Friday, surrounded by his loving family. He was 57. Andy was a man of few words who preferred fist bumps to hugs, but he truly had a big heart. Andy was the kind of guy who was always trying to help the people around him, whether it meant helping a family member in need or telling his niece and nephew what new, cool app to download. He loved his car, Italian beef sandwiches and watching action movies. He seemed to have visited every single neighborhood in the city of Chicago and he had plenty of suggested places to visit to prove it. He is survived by his beloved mother, Helen; his sister Barbara (Richard) Zdanowicz and brother Michael (Mary); and niece and nephew, Christina and Steven. Funeral Thursday, July 14, 9:30am, from Pietryka Funeral Home , 5734 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago. Mass 10am at St. Tarcissus Church, 6020 W. Ardmore, Chicago..
